No, the OBJ format does not support animation data. Only the static 3D model geometry and basic material references will be transferred.
The OBJ file will reference your texture maps via an accompanying MTL file. You will need to ensure the actual texture image files are located alongside the OBJ and MTL files for them to display correctly.
While OBJ can handle high polygon counts, the 3DS format itself has an older limitation of 65536 vertices per mesh. Our converter will process the geometry within these constraints, but very complex scenes might be broken down or simplified.
No, advanced render-specific materials will be simplified to basic diffuse colors and texture maps, or potentially lost, as OBJ and MTL only support fundamental material properties.
