Yes, JPG uses lossy compression, which discards some image data to achieve smaller file sizes. This can result in a slight reduction in quality, though often unnoticeable for general use.
Typically, only the first page of a multi-page TIFF is converted to a single JPG image. If you need other pages, you'll need to extract them individually before conversion.
JPG format does not support transparency. Any transparent areas in your TIFF will be converted to a solid background, usually white or black, during the conversion process.
