Frequently asked questions

No, GIFs do not contain audio. The conversion process will create a silent MP4 video file. If you need audio, you would have to add it separately after conversion.
MP4 uses advanced video compression codecs (like H.264) that are far more efficient than GIF's LZW compression for animated content. This results in significantly smaller file sizes for comparable visual quality and length.
While MP4 handles longer content much more efficiently than GIF, the quality of the resulting MP4 will still be limited by the original GIF's resolution, frame rate, and color depth. Very long GIFs might still result in larger MP4s due to the sheer number of frames.
