Tips for a QR code that scans
This is a static QR code: the link or text is written into the pattern itself. It never expires, needs no account and does not pass through a redirect or any tracking.
Keep strong contrast between the code and the background, and keep the dark color on the dark side. Inverted codes (light on dark) fail in many scanners. Leave the white margin around the code — it is part of the standard.
Error correction lets a code survive damage or a logo on top. L restores about 7 % of the data, M 15 %, Q 25 %, H 30 %. Higher levels make the pattern denser, so use M for print and H only when you add a logo.
Download SVG for print and signs — it stays sharp at any size — and PNG for web pages and messengers. Print at least 2 cm wide and test with a phone before ordering a large run.
